Life is Full

Life has been really "full" lately.   I guess "full" sounds better to me than "busy".  Everyone is busy.   There doesn't seem to be much down time, but I know that it won't last forever.   Life is full, but there always seems to be room for a tiny bit more.

I was really glad to take some time last week to make a few cards and free my mind to think creatively, after so many days of analytical thinking.   To touch paper, fibres, fabric, and letters instead of the keyboard.  To let my mind go abstract places instead of prescribed pathways.
...and to be fed.

...because the words I say to others are so often the words that my own soul needs to hear.
Everyone needs compassion,
Love that's never failing;
Let mercy fall on me.
Everyone needs forgiveness,
The kindness of a Saviour;
The Hope of nations.
Saviour,
He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
He is Mighty to save.

Today, it's enough to know that, and it's good to be reminded.   Everyone needs compassion. Love.  Mercy.   I know I do. All the people who journey with us need it.    Is there someone in your sphere of influence who needs compassion today?  I'm glad for Love and Promises that never fail, because there are some days I just don't understand, and I have to just believe.   Trust.

Really fun thoughts today, because fun is soo necessary for me:
  • Son One said, "Mom, it's so empty in here".  I took down all the wall decor to prepare for a reno.
  • Yes!!!....a "reno".
  • I love Lee Valley!
  • there is some "chilled" Chardonnay in the fridge.
  • I got lost in London this week.  Son Two and I stopped at the first Tim's we saw, brought the map inside and figured out where we were.  There are worse things than going in circles.
  • Went to the Indo-Asian Spice Market after we found our way.   Waaaay cool!!  Stocked up on  "naan" bread (for various weekend cooking experiments.  Yum!), Korma paste, and Garam Masala.  Always capitalize on places to visit when you chart new courses!
  • Dear Canon, Dear Basic Grey, Dear Martha, Dear MME, I love you all!  A LOT!

We've been walking a tough road lately, and you're right - everyone needs compassion, as well as the love and promises that never fail. (I don't know how I'd get through a single day without them). Just when we think we're ready for the next step, we get a curve ball thrown at us - and it feels like trust is all we have left. Thank God for His faithfulness!

Love your cards Tetcy...they are so uniquely YOU!! Yes, everyone needs compassion, then there are those who just could use a good cuff upside the head! But we never know the struggles someone else is facing when they say they are 'fine', and kindness is a better way to go!
