...there's been very little turnover on the turntable.
I still have Addison Road on there...WOW, Selah, etc...
Switchfoot (Hello Hurricane) has been relegated to the car and it is growing on me. I even have a favourite track now! "Your Love is a Song"...
Some things stay the same and some things change...a son of mine has added an Eagles CD. You know....the one they said they were never going to record.
But there IS one new one. Last Saturday, March 6th, was the LDCSS Spring Fundraising Dinner. The company at my table was really wonderful. Fine dining and great people make for such an enjoyable evening. I couldn't think of a better way to enjoy the fruit of the labour of planning. The musical guests for the evening were 'simplesong'. An 8 member family of singers and musicians. After their performance I purchased a CD and it's been a treat to listen to it while working at home and reliving the fun evening we had together as a school community. The dinner is the fun adventure I've been working on for the past few weeks. Busy times, but very worthwhile, and I've had the pleasure of working with very dedicated, passionate people. It was a real blessing. The kind of adventure where I wondered if I might be out of my element, but I got over being intimidated very quickly and felt encouraged and affirmed that this was the right time and the right place. God equips when He calls. As is often the case, there were lots of other things going on simultaneously: tournaments, planning meetings, dates, drama, dances, projects, working meetings, emergencies, Grace, appointments, work, daily/hourly dinner updates, tournaments, etc... and no time for hobbies.
Now the dust settles. Sort of.... Time to catch up.
There is so much that makes up the steady tide of life. It has ebbs and flows. Sometimes it pounds onto the shore, so loud that you can't hear yourself think. You think everyone else can hear it too but sometimes you're in the storm surge alone. Once in a while, you find someone who will talk honestly with you about their storms. These are precious exchanges. Orchestrated by Grace. Still...the most incredible sound in that roar, is God whispering your name. He remains on His Throne. Peace.
Other days it trickles in slowly. Softly. You stand at the water's edge and it tickles your toes. A welcoming familiar cold, so refreshing, so sweet. Peace.

Hey Tetcy, how are you? Relax a little after the storm. Hope your coming week will be one of recharging. It sounds like you are really busy with your new job. Keep up the good work.
It was nice chatting with you on FB.
Jitta phoned me this week. Its Tante Siep and Omke Tjitse's 60'th wedding anniversary. She would like us all to send a card. Send them to Jitta. I will give you her address later.
