Well....apparently it is raining again in Burke's Falls. A friend just stopped by to pick up a care package(an extra fleecy for the lads and rubber boots for Ray.) for my boys but Ray called earlier this morning with some disappointing news.....AND to wish me a happy birthday of course!
He said the word "evacuation" was mentioned this morning for the first time. Parents planning to attend the worship service tomorrow might want to stay home since the site is not navigable. Our friends decided they were going to go up anyway, especially since their boys are expecting them. Ray didn't get any of my emails and the last thing on the organizers minds are distributing letters from home.
Ray said the boys are warm and dry enough. But...some people are not. Things are in dire straits and it is raining this morning....the weather channel radar showed a thick band of green clouds all the way along the Georgian Bay coast....:( and there is 90% chance of rain for tomorrow.
I think they're having a squishy day. How disappointing. According to the activity schedule there is free time this afternoon. Ray said something about starting to get them packed up. Boy am I thankful that he is up there.
Pray that a spirit of calmness will prevail.
